Jason,

I can't even begin to pretend to understand what you are going through. Shannon was extremely special to me, but she was everything to you and Jack.

There's a huge hole in my heart right now, but I find it's filling in quickly with all of the great memories of her.

Shannon brought us all together for a reason. I love you and Jack and will always be there when either of you need me, and look forward to spending time with you guys and being a part of your life, the same as we ever would have.

Jack,

You deserve to know how special your mom was in life. She was vibrant, energetic, funny, loving and full of life. She loved you and your dad SO much. Her happiest times were the times she spent with you two. Sometimes she would take random pictures of you and email them to me because she was so happy and proud at even the littlest of things.

Even though you were too young to really know her, I know in your heart you remember her.

I want you to know I'll always be around for you, whenever you want to hear more about your mom. Many of the best memories of my life included times with her and I can't wait to share them with you!

Love, Uncle Bill

Jack, your mom was a dear friend to a tight group of friends that grew up with her. Like some childhood friends, as you grow older you grow in different directions but definitely not apart. Not deep inside. As we had to go out into the world and make a life for ourselves, we never felt alone. We all shared a trait that would keep us close, especially your mom. We were always able to see each other throughout the years and feel as comfortable as the time before (no matter how much time had passed). She made you feel comfortable and loved from the first kiss hello to the last hug goodbye. These are a few more traits that I observed in her throughout the years. She admired the quality in people that gave them the passion to have had great and lasting relationships like Kimmer and myself, as well as some others in our group. She preferred men to be very respectful to their ladies, especially verbally, and she loved women that were expressive, kind and real. She had a great family and a solid relationship with her brother, Brian. Even though she dated some wild guys, in her time, she had a good role model in Brian that showed her the benefits of a man that could work hard and provide for his family (this leading to choose your dad to start a wonderful family with). She was passionate about being a good friend, which is what Todd taught her by example. She learned to be straight forward and a better mom through Mark and Maria. Clyde was also a good friend to her that made her laugh and really enjoy the times we had going out on the town or a concert or even hockey once. Even BK made an impression in her life as she was impressed by his discipline in the martial arts, even though he had lead such a wild and crazy life. There are many more friends that her life had touched and I hope you will find out, one day, what impression she made on them. Even though her and your dadís time was relatively short, I know it was on its way to endure for the rest of time. Iím so happy she found that ďsomeoneĒ to share her life with and to bring you to life. I know youíll have a lot of her same traits and grow do be a dynamic person, full of life.
Jason, I hope you can rely on each one of us to help you throughout this hard time and the good years to come. We donít ever want to lose the feeling of closeness we had with Shannon. Being involved in yours and jackís life will keep her memory alive in all of us.

Jason - Thank you so much for being everything Shannon could ever ask for and being the kinda of guy a brother can appreciate, trust to love and take care of my sister. My only hope would have been to have had many more years for the three of you to grow that relationship. I am always here for you!

Jack - You are to young to know what is happening but it was you that brought us through. Your mother was so very special and lived every moment for you and your father! She was loved by so many people! You will always have them to tell you about her and to reinforce how much she loved you and your father.

I love you both! Brian
